Waxing for Face and Body
Waxing to remove unwanted hair is a standard and effective treatment for reducing the body’s visual appearance of excess hair in certain areas. The procedure uses a sticky substance, like wax, on a covering applied to the treatment area, and once lifted, removes the hair from the root. According to your hair growth schedule, the treatment lasts about 4-6 weeks before new growth is visible.
There are various treatment areas where waxing can benefit: eyebrows, lips, chin, pubic area, back, and legs. Men and women can undergo waxing for a smooth and glowing body and face. After spreading a thin layer of wax over your skin, a cloth or strip of paper is applied, tightly pressed, and torn rapidly against the hair growth. There are different types of strip waxing or soft waxing, and these are heated, cold, or premade strips. You can also do a stripless wax or a hard wax. The wax is spread thickly over the skin and hardens as it cools, and then it is removed from your skin without using cloths or strips. If you have sensitive skin, hard waxing is suggested. Hard waxing is a less painful way to remove hairs. The most common areas on the face to wax are the eyebrows, upper lip, and chin. In addition, a full-face waxing can include the nostrils, ears, cheeks, and forehead.
Body waxing includes pubic hair or bikini wax, legs, arms, back, abdomen, knuckles, chest, and feet. Many types of waxing can remove unwanted hair.
